Welcome to Barks & Wildlife Retreat. By using our website or booking services with us, you agree to the following terms and policies. These policies are designed to protect your pets, set clear expectations, and ensure that every visit with us is safe, enjoyable, and stress-free.

Introduction

Barks & Wildlife Retreat (“B&W”) provides premium pet care services, including boarding, daycare, grooming, and training, at our Spring, TX and Longville, LA locations. This page outlines the terms of use for our website and the policies that apply to all of our services. These terms work in conjunction with our signed Pet Care & Services Agreement, which is required for every pet in our care.

Services & Availability

Our offerings may vary by location and are subject to availability. We reserve the right to adjust services, pricing, and operating hours as needed. While we do our best to accommodate every request, we cannot guarantee availability without a confirmed reservation.

Reservations & Payments

• Payment Due: Full payment is due at pick-up unless prepayment is required.

• Deposits: A 50% deposit is required for reservations of five nights or longer. Deposits are non-refundable if canceled within 48 hours of check-in.

• Peak & Holiday Periods: Prepayment may be required for high-demand dates. No-shows and late cancellations may result in forfeiture of payment.

• Reservation Commitment: When you reserve a space, you are committing to the full duration of your booked dates, even if you pick up early.

• Package Expiration: Daycare packages and promotions may carry expiration dates, which will be communicated at purchase.

Health & Safety

To protect all pets in our care:

• Dogs and cats must be current on Rabies, DHLPP (dogs), Bordetella (dogs), and FVRCP (cats). We recommend vaccines be administered at least one week prior to check-in.

• Pets must be free of fleas, ticks, and contagious illnesses. Pets found with parasites will be removed from the facility and treatment may be provided at the owner’s expense.

• Pets showing illness, injury, or unsafe behavior at check-in may be refused service.

• All daycare and playgroup participants must be spayed/neutered.

• In case of illness or injury, we are authorized to seek veterinary care at our discretion. All associated costs are the owner’s responsibility.

Liability

While we take every reasonable precaution, pets may be exposed to stress, minor injuries, illness, or behavioral changes during their stay. By using our services, you agree to release and hold harmless Barks & Wildlife Retreat, its staff, and affiliates from liability for injury, illness, or loss, unless caused by proven gross negligence.

Conduct & Eligibility

We reserve the right to refuse service to any pet that is:

• Aggressive toward humans or other animals

• Unvaccinated or medically unsafe to board

• Showing signs of contagious illness or parasites

We also reserve the right to end services early if a pet becomes unsafe to handle.

Personal Items

Owners may bring toys, bedding, or other items from home. However, we cannot guarantee the return or condition of these items, as they may be lost or damaged during cleaning, play, or interaction.

Intellectual Property

All website content, branding, photography, and media are the property of Barks & Wildlife Retreat and may not be used without written consent. By boarding or participating in services, you grant us permission to use photos and videos of your pet for lawful marketing purposes.

Use of Website

You agree not to misuse our website, including attempts to access restricted areas, distribute spam, or use content without authorization.

Changes to Policies

Barks & Wildlife Retreat reserves the right to update these terms at any time. Updates will be effective immediately upon posting to this page. For services, clients may be required to sign an updated Pet Care & Services Agreement before future visits.
