Getting Started
Are you open on holidays?
We're open every day, but closed for drop-off and pickup on Thanksgiving and Christmas. Holiday weeks fill up fast, so book early.
Do you require a deposit?
Deposits may be required to hold a suite during peak holiday seasons. We'll let you know when you book.
Do you offer cat boarding in Spring?
Yes. Cats stay in private VIP cat condos in a quiet, climate-controlled room in our Welcome Center, away from the dogs. $30 per night, and a second cat sharing the condo is 20% off. See cat boarding in Spring.
Do you offer training?
Not yet. We're building a training program for our Spring retreat, planned for early 2027.
How do I book or manage reservations from my phone?
Existing clients can book, manage reservations and update pet info in our Client Portal. It works in any phone or computer browser, with nothing to download.
Prefer an app? Download Gingr for Pet Parents from the App Store or Google Play, enter invite code 415692, then log in with the email or phone number on file.

Boarding
How much does dog boarding cost in Spring?
Basecamp Suites are $50/night, Luxury Suites $60/night and VIP Suites $99/night. Play, camera access and medications are included. Dogs from the same family can share any suite and save 20% on each additional dog.
Which suite should I choose?
Basecamp Suite (5×6) suits most social dogs, though the shared indoor lodge can be noisy for sensitive ones. Luxury Suite (5×8) has floor-to-ceiling walls and its own air vent, so it's the quietest choice for anxious dogs. VIP Suite (10×10) adds the most space, an 8×10 turf patio, Dog TV and an iPad so you can FaceTime your dog anytime. Not sure? Tell us about your dog and we'll help.
Can I watch my dog on camera?
Yes. Every Spring boarding suite has a 24/7 camera. Log in from your phone or computer and check on your dog anytime. VIP Suites also have an iPad that answers FaceTime calls automatically, so you can see and talk to your dog.
Will my dog get to play?
Yes. Every boarding dog gets at least two play sessions a day across our four play yards, more than half an acre of shaded space with a 12×12 splash pad. Groups are matched by size and temperament and capped at 8 dogs. Dogs who prefer it get one-on-one time instead.
Who takes care of my dog?
Our Bark Rangers. Every Bark Ranger completes our in-house training and tests on dog behavior, facility sanitation and service standards, and our team includes Pet CPR and Pet First Aid certified staff.
My dog has never boarded. What should I expect?
Most dogs settle in quickly. A Luxury Suite is a great choice for nervous first-timers, and a daycare day beforehand helps your dog meet the team. We'll keep you posted during the stay.
What are drop-off and pickup times?
We're open every day, 7am to 7pm. Boarding is priced by the night, so there's no extra charge for pickups by 2pm. Pickups after 2pm are charged one day of daycare per dog, since they spend that last day playing and being cared for with us.
Is there a minimum stay?
No. Our Spring retreat has no minimum stay, so you can book a single night.
What should I bring?
Your dog's regular food in labeled, pre-measured bags or containers, and any medications in their original containers with clear instructions. Bedding is provided. If you need us to, we can provide house food for $5 per day.
Can you give my dog medication?
Yes, at no extra charge. Please bring oral and topical medications in their original containers with clear instructions. If we have any questions, we'll reach out so your pup gets the care they need every time. We don't give injectable medications.
What vaccines are required?
Current Rabies, Bordetella and DHPP. The easiest way to send records is to text a photo to (832) 447-8302 or email spring@barksandwildlife.com.
How close are you to Bush Airport?
About 15 minutes from George Bush Intercontinental Airport (IAH), just off Hwy 45 and Cypresswood Dr. at 1111 Spring Meadow Ln, Spring, TX 77373.
Daycare
How much does dog daycare cost in Spring?
Group Daycare is $25/day and Private Daycare is $35/day. Packages of 5, 10, 15 or 20 days save 5% to 20%, bringing Group Daycare down to $20/day. New dogs get their first day free.
How do you keep group play safe?
Every dog gets a temperament check on their first day. We introduce them to other dogs slowly and carefully to get a feel for their playgroup preferences. Playgroups are matched by size and temperament and capped at 8 dogs. Our team includes Pet CPR and Pet First Aid certified staff.
Does my dog need to be spayed or neutered?
For Group Daycare, yes. Intact dogs are welcome in Private Daycare, where they get their own space and one-on-one playtimes with a Bark Ranger.
What if my dog doesn't get along with other dogs?
Not every dog loves a crowd, and that's okay. If a dog shows disruptive or aggressive behavior, we'll move them out of group play. Private Daycare lets them enjoy our yards, playgrounds and toys on their own.
Do daycare packages expire?
No. Buy a package once and use the days whenever you need them. Group packages are for dogs who can join group play; Private Daycare packages work for any dog.
What if my dog gets sick or hurt during daycare?
We'll call you first, then your emergency contact if we can't reach you. If your dog needs care right away, we may provide first aid or take them to a veterinarian. Vet costs are the owner's responsibility.
Can I add grooming to a daycare day?
Yes. Add a bath, trim or full groom and your dog goes home fresh. See grooming options and prices.
Grooming
How much does dog grooming cost in Spring?
Prices depend on your dog's size and the package. A Basecamp Wash starts at $25, a Summit Spa at $30, a Summit Trim at $50 and a Summit Groom at $65 for dogs under 10 lbs. Our biggest pups (71+ lbs) range from $45 for a bath to $119 for a full groom.
What's the difference between a Spa, a Trim and a Groom?
The Summit Spa is a full spa day with no haircut: conditioner, ear cleaning, brush out, nail trim and a bow or bandana. The Summit Trim adds a tidy-up trim on the face, feet and fanny. The Summit Groom adds a full-body, breed standard haircut.
How far ahead should I book? Do you take same-day appointments?
About a week ahead gives you the best choice of days, but same-day appointments are available when the schedule allows. Call or text (832) 447-8302 and we'll check today's openings.
How long does a groom take?
Most grooms take about 1 to 3 hours, depending on your dog's coat and the service. We'll let you know when your dog is ready for pickup.
Can I add grooming to a boarding stay or daycare day?
Yes. Many families schedule a bath or groom before pickup so their dog goes home fresh. Boarding stays of 5 nights or more include a free wash.
What if my dog's coat is matted?
We'll work gently to get your dog comfortable again. Heavy matting needs our de-matting add-on ($25), and in some cases a shorter cut is the kindest option. We'll talk with you first.
Are your products safe for sensitive skin?
Yes. We use gentle, pet-safe shampoos and coat-specific conditioners, and a medicated skin treatment ($10) is available for dogs with sensitivities.
Do you offer grooming memberships?
Yes. The Spa Club starts at $44/month and the Trim Club starts at $59/month, with up to 2 premium grooming services a month, with daycare. See membership details.
