Good to Know
- Two-night minimum on all Longville boarding stays, for dogs and cats.

How much does dog boarding cost in Longville?
Dogs 25 lbs and under are $30/night and dogs 26 lbs and over are $35/night. Play time, photo and video updates and medications are included. Cats stay in private condos for $20/night.
Is there a minimum stay?
Yes. Boarding at our Longville retreat has a two-night minimum stay, for both dogs and cats. Daycare and grooming have no minimum.
Do I need to choose a suite?
No. Our team places every dog in a suite that fits their size, so there's nothing to compare. Just tell us about your dog when you request your stay.
Will my dog get to play?
Yes. Every dog gets at least two playtimes a day in our country play yards with splash pads, pools and playgrounds. Groups are matched by size and temperament, and dogs who prefer it get private play instead.
Will I get updates while my dog is here?
Yes. We capture as many photos and videos of playtime as we can and send them to you. It's a free extra, so we do our best to send a link every day.
What are drop-off and pickup times?
We're open every day, 8am to 6pm. Drop-off and pickup are easiest between 10am and 4pm, when things are calmer. We're closed for drop-off and pickup on Thanksgiving and Christmas.
What should I bring?
Your dog's regular food in labeled, pre-measured bags or containers, and any medications in their original containers with clear instructions. Bedding is provided, and a favorite blanket or toy is welcome. If needed, we can provide house food for $5 per day.
Can you give my dog medication?
Yes, at no extra charge. Please bring oral and topical medications in their original containers with clear instructions. If we have any questions, we'll reach out so your pup gets the care they need every time. We don't give injectable medications.
What vaccines are required?
Dogs need current Rabies, Bordetella and DHPP. Cats need Rabies and FVRCP. The easiest way to send records is to text a photo to (337) 317-3659 or email longville@barksandwildlife.com.
My dog has never boarded. What should I expect?
Most dogs settle in quickly in our quiet country setting. A daycare day before the stay is a great way for your dog to meet the team and learn the yards.
